Job Summary
The Nebraska Republican Party is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Political Director. The ideal candidate will be self-starting, detail-oriented, thorough, able and willing to regularly work in the Lincoln, NE headquarters, understand and be enthusiastic about after-hours events and volunteer recruitment. The candidate must have a customer-service oriented mindset, professional and pleasant deportment and be flexible with work expectations and demands as is consistent with any small business or start up.

Job Responsibility
I. Events
a. Identify, select and work with event venues & hosts to create fundraising and political events including the creation of menus event layouts as directed
b. Staff check in tables and/or recruit volunteers to staff check in tables as required
c. Manage the preparation and production of attendee lists and name tags as directed
d. Be available to attend approximately 15-20 after hours and/or weekend events per year as needed
e. Attend and help organize state central committee meetings, the state convention and select county conventions as directed
II. Finance
a. Batch & cage incoming direct mail contributions
b. Generate lists for direct mail campaigns
c. Maintain strong relationship with NEGOP Finance Team
III. General Administration
a. Answer incoming phone calls as needed
b. Open & sort mail
c. Manage legislative recording software to document unicameral proceedings
d. Assist in the recruitment and supervision of interns
IV. Data Management
a. Be the primary point of contact for the NEGOP’s GOP Data Center and customer relationship management software
b. Organize and conduct trainings for candidates and campaign staff on the use of party-supplied data products
c. Be the primary point person on the management of the NEGOP’s state central committee and county officer contact spreadsheets
d. Generate walk and mail lists as required
V. Outreach
a. Assist in the organization of candidate and campaign schools as required, but especially in the lead up to election season
b. Attend county party events as a representative of the NEGOP as needed
c. Attend or recruit and organize volunteers to attend outreach events at various public forums, e.g., county fairs, on behalf of the NEGOP as needed
d. Assist in the organization and development of College Republican and High School Republican chapters as needed

Job Skills & Qualifications
I. Strong working knowledge of office management software products including the Adobe, Microsoft and Google suites
II. General understanding of campaign finance regulation and
III. Experience working independently and manage tasks from inception to completion
IV. Public speaking skills

Preferred
I. Previous experience in Advantage, GOP DataCenter and/or Aristotle CRMs is preferred
II. Campaign or party experience
